DAY 2-3: Arusha to Sinya (Western Kilimanjaro)

Early morning after breakfast you will be picked up by your private safari guide and head to Sinya. A private concession of about 600 square km, bordering Kenya at Amboseli National Park, offers spectacular landscapes with magnificent views of Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, Ol Doinyo Longido and Ol Doinyo Orok, a unique nature and cultural experience.

Maasai “bomas” are sparsely scattered in Sinya, with a total population of no more than 2.000 people living in a huge area. These maasai are still living the traditional way and are not used to the commercial relationship with tourists wich is common in more visited areas. They are spectacularly dressed and follow all the traditional ceremonies. This is a Community Conservation Project benefiting the maasai of Sinya. Activities include game drives, walking safaris escorted by Maasai warriors, interaction with the local maasai including participation in ceremonies if available.

You will spend 2 days in this incredible place.

DAY 4: Sinya (West Kilimanjaro) to Tarangire National Park

You will be picked up by your private safari guide from western Kilimanjaro to Tarangire. The Park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it.  This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. In places, the vegetation is quite dense, including elephant grass, acacia woodlands and lush groundwater forest. The Park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffe, bushbuck and hartebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. There are more breeding species of birds found in Tarangire National Park than anywhere else on the planet!

After extensive game drive in the park you will head to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

It is famous for both its geological delights and for being a natural reserve which is home to some of the densest large mammal populations in the whole of the African continent. The drive down the into the Crater is an adventure in itself and when you reach the Crater floor, you quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. The Crater provides you with the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grasslands.
