8 Day Once- In-A-Lifetime Tanzania Luxury Safari

After Breakfast at your accommodation, you will be transferred to Serval Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the scenic Siha District of Kilimanjaro, Tanzania.

Serval Wildlife offers a unique blend of luxury and conservation, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru. The sanctuary is home to a variety of free-roaming animals including lions, giraffes, elands, zebras, monkeys, and ostriches. During your stay, you will have the rare opportunity to interact with these majestic animals in a safe and ethical environment.

In While at the hotel you will have a chance to have interactions with these free-roaming animals. Also, you will have an opportunity to explore an ecosystem with over 300 hand-planted endemic flora that directly benefits the exquisite animals that reside within Serval Wildlife. At the same time, you will enjoy the mesmerizing views of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro.

After activity you will depart to your accommodation in Arusha.

Morning after breakfast you will depart to Tarangire National Park. The Park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it.  This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. In places, the vegetation is quite dense, including elephant grass, acacia woodlands and lush groundwater forest. The Park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffe, bushbuck and hartebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. There are more breeding species of birds found in Tarangire National Park than anywhere else on the planet!

After Lunch and an extensive game drive we head for our comfort partner lodges inside the Park for an early dinner before heading out for night game drive.

A new world of nocturnal animal species awaits you on an exclusive night game drive excursion within the Tarangire National Park, as this area is considered an ideal location for this activity. Lake Manyara ecosystem close by, Tarangire National Park is a melting pot for all types of animals. Tarangire river is richly in the reliable waters year round and animals here are in prime conditions making wildlife viewing even better. The lesser seen animals are generally seen.

Night game drive will begin around 19:30 and you will meet your at the main area where you will have a short briefing on what to do and not do during the night game drive. You will then drive into the night within the vast Tarangire Park to see the animals, some of which are rare and inactive during day time. Leopards will be easily spotted and other animals, including: Lions, wandering elephants, antelopes, porcupines, Genet, and civet cats.

Your drive will and have you back at the lodge at around 22:30 hours.

Early morning after breakfast, we depart to Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is truly spectacular. It is famous for its vast open grasslands which allow for excellent sightings of wildlife. The Serengeti is Tanzania’s oldest National Park and it is also one of the oldest ecosystems on earth.  Its climate and vegetation have remained largely untouched for millions of years. Whilst the Serengeti boasts abundant wildlife, it is perhaps best known for the annual Great Migration.  Vast numbers of wildebeest; accompanied by large numbers of zebra and antelope move in an annual pattern, constantly seeking fresh grazing.  The precise timing of the Migration is entirely dependent upon the rainfall patterns each year.

After Lunch and an extensive game drive, we head for our tented partner camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast we head towards the far northern reaches of the Serengeti National Park, also known as the Wagakuria. We will do a game drive en-route from the Lobo area to the Wagakuria area. As we head north, good sightings of giraffe, plain game, herds of buffalo and elephants can often be seen. Whilst the Serengeti boasts abundant wildlife, it is perhaps best known for the annual Great Migration.  Vast numbers of wildebeest; accompanied by large numbers of zebra and antelope move in an annual pattern, constantly seeking fresh grazing.  The precise timing of the Migration is entirely dependent upon the rainfall patterns each year. During End of July to September the Migration can be found in the Northern Serengeti where they are crossing the Mara River following the greener pastures of Maasai Mara where the provide the Mara river resident Nile crocodiles with annual fist.

After Lunch and an extensive game drive, we head for our partner camp for dinner and overnight.

Early Morning after breakfast you will head for an en-route game drive through northern Serengeti heading to central Serengeti also known as Seronera Area. The Seronera Valley offers lots of wildlife throughout the year including carnivores like hyenas, Lions, leopards and cheetah can often be found on and around these large rocky outcrops, as they offer a great vantage point to look over the plains in search of any prey, as well as ungulates including buffaloes, giraffes, hippopotami, impalas, topi, warthogs and zebras.

Early morning after breakfast, we continue with our en-route drive inside the Serengeti National Park before we depart to Ngorongoro crater. When you first see Ngorongoro Crater, it looks like a forgotten world.  Concealed by the steep volcanic walls is a pristine wilderness including sweeping savannah, pockets of acacia woodland and glistening lakes and swamps.  The Crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago. It is famous for both its geological delights and for being a natural reserve which is home to some of the densest large mammal populations in the whole of the African continent. The drive down the into the Crater is an adventure in itself and when you reach the Crater floor, you quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. The Crater provides you with the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grasslands.

After Lunch and an extensive game drive inside the crater, we head for our luxury partner lodges in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Morning after breakfast, You will drive to Mto Wa Mbu village which is almost 2 hours’ drive from Arusha. Your onsite guide is very likely to be from the village itself so you will have a unique opportunity to see the community through his eyes.

OVERVIEW: Mto wa Mbu village consists of a number of tribes (120 tribes) whereby you can have the opportunity to learn different cultures as well as do different kinds of activities such as cooking lessons, visiting local schools at Mto wa Mbu and also you can have opportunities to visit local farms where bananas are planted, rice plantation etc.

The bustling farming community of Mto Wa Mbu, located between Manyara and Ngorongoro, is home to around 18,000 people. Spend half a day here with a knowledgeable local guide and you’ll discover a side of Tanzania that many visitors miss.

Tours last around 2–3 hours, but are flexible. During your visit you’ll get a good feel for the social side of the village – the farms and the milling machines, the schools, markets and churches. Your guide will happily answer any questions you might have, and will help you to gain an understanding of the inner workings of this typical Tanzanian community.

You’ll likely start in the village banana plantation, where they grow more than 25 different varieties of bananas. As well as finding out how this staple fruit is grown, you’ll hear about the different uses of the plant as a whole, from food to materials for building and art.

Activities vary depending on your preferences. Either visit youth art projects, wood workshops where they carve masks and household objects. Moving on, you’ll come to a local ‘bar’ to try mbege, the traditional banana and millet beer that is brewed and drunk mainly by the Chagga tribe.

After Local lunch and activities you will drive back to Arusha and either transferred to the airport or to your accomodation which marks the end of your epic adventure.
